In order to simply qualify for possible inclusion in our GM Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program, a GM pre-owned car, truck or SUV must be less than six years old, must have a clean title and less than 75,000 miles on the odometer. But that's just the starting point. That vehicle might look great but it must prove that it also has strong inner qualities by passing our uncompromising 172-point vehicle inspection and reconditioning process.

Ordinary used cars simply won't make it through our 172-point CPO inspection

Once a potential Certified Pre-Owned model passes our initial screening, then comes the hard part. That very promising Chevrolet Buick or GMC vehicle must pass an uncompromising inspection covering 172 crucial checkpoints. One of our factory-certified technicians examines key components of the engine, transmission, drivetrain and suspension. We check the car's brakes, battery, steering, handling, appearance and much more.

We check things that would get overlooked in an ordinary vehicle inspection

Because we know you want a pre-owned car that looks and acts as much as possible like a brand-new vehicle, we closely examine the air conditioning system, the shocks or struts, the lights, the tires, even the undercarriage and floor mats. Our CPO vehicles come with a powertrain warranty for up to 100,000 miles

When a pre-owned model has demonstrated that it's worthy of the CPO designation, we give it a factory- backed limited powertrain warranty that protects you and your vehicle for up to six years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. As an extension of the GM new-car warranty, our CPO Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty provides an extra 12 months or 12,000 miles of coverage, and once again there's no deductible.
